Merchandiser
About the role
As a merchandiser, you are responsible for effectively presenting and promoting Inducoat coatings at the 287 paint wholesalers where Inducoat is sold. You work closely with retailers to ensure that Inducoat coatings are displayed and positioned correctly to boost sales. Entry-level candidates welcome!
Job description:
– Responsible for visiting various retail locations to optimise the presentation and positioning of Inducoat coatings. – Carrying out shelf checks and ensuring that Inducoat coatings are positioned correctly and in stock. – Setting up and maintaining attractive product displays to increase the visibility and appeal of Inducoat coatings. – Building and maintaining strong relationships with retail staff and management to promote optimal product presentation. – Reporting sales results, stock levels and merchandising activities to the management team. – Analysing market trends, competitor behaviour and consumer behaviour to make recommendations for improving merchandising strategies. – Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling Inducoat coatings on the shop floor. – Supporting sales and marketing activities by providing relevant information and feedback.
Required skills and qualifications:
– A completed intermediate vocational qualification, preferably in marketing, merchandising or a related field. – Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders. – A strong eye for detail and the ability to create effective product presentations. – Analytical thinking skills and the ability to interpret data to evaluate performance and make recommendations. – Organisational skills and the ability to work independently and set priorities. – Flexibility and adaptability to work in a rapidly changing retail environment. – Knowledge of visual merchandising, shelf layout and product presentation is an advantage.
