Inducoat’s bacteria-resistant coating was applied at the Saffier care facility in The Hague. Saffier chose Sylmarc as an additional material measure within broader infection prevention, with the aim of supporting a more hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Saffier chose to apply the coating to walls and ceilings in living rooms, treatment rooms and communal areas. In the original project description, this choice was linked to helping limit the spread of bacteria. The project described the application as an additional measure that fitted Saffier’s budget, schedule and vision.
The bacteria-resistant coating protects the dry paint film against bacterial attack. It does not replace cleaning, disinfection or other infection-prevention measures.
